Lucy
Rosen is president of The Business Development Group, Inc. - a leading
marketing, public relations and business development firm with offices
in New York and New Mexico. A visionary in creating and expanding
business opportunities for her clients through her expertise in building
strategic alliances, she is also the founder and president of Women
on the Fast Track -- a unique international networking organization
for businesswomen.
As a successful
entrepreneur with more than 25 years of marketing and business
experience, Lucy has helped a wide variety of entrepreneurs,
corporations and not-for-profit organizations grow and expand their
businesses. Her clients have included major companies, free-standing
medical centers, hospitals and numerous not-for-profit organizations
around the country. She also has a great deal of experience in
business-to-business marketing, and works with leading businesses
nationwide to orchestrate unique marketing and public relations
campaigns and spearhead effective business image enhancement programs.
In 2002, 2003 and
2005, Lucy was named one of Long Island’s “Top 50 Women” by Long Island
Business News and in 2005 was inducted into the “Top 50 Women” Hall of
Fame." In 1999, Long Island Business News named her to their inaugural
“40 Under 40” class, recognizing the region’s most successful young
professionals under age 40. She has also been honored with the
prestigious "2006 Pathfinder Award" for a Woman in Business, presented
by Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray -- which was given in
recognition of her contributions to the local business community and her
role in helping other businesswomen throughout the region. Lucy was
recently named by Distinction Magazine as a 2008 Woman of Distinction,
in recognition of her leadership in the Long Island business arena and
overall contributions to the local community. Most recently, in
September 2009 she was honored by Long Island Business News by being
named to their inaugural list of Long Island’s “50 Around 50” –
recognizing her longstanding business achievement, community involvement
and overall leadership role on Long Island.
A dynamic and
inspirational speaker, Lucy has addressed audiences throughout the
country on a variety of topics surrounding marketing, business-building
and networking. She has spoken and lectured at dozens of high profile
events, including having taught for the American Women’s Economic
Development Corporation and serving as the Keynote Speaker at the 2007
Women Against Multiple Sclerosis Luncheon. Her business leadership and
motivational speaking skills prompted her to be selected as a
facilitator at a unique entrepreneurship program sponsored by Guardian
Life Insurance. The program, called “Girls Going Places” was an
inspirational leadership program for underprivileged girls ages 12 to
16.
The author of a
series of business “how-to” booklets for women, Lucy is frequently
interviewed by the media and writes for both women’s and business
publications. She has been quoted and featured in numerous national and
local press outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Working
Mother, Pink Magazine, Newsday, Martha Stewart Radio, Long Island
Business News, Networking Magazine and the Albuquerque Journal.
In addition, she speaks to groups across the country about current
issues in public relations, marketing and effective networking. Her
latest book, Fast Track Networking, will be published by Career
Press in the spring of 2010.
