Ruth Eisner has been working in the field of journalism and public relations for more than 15 years. She is currently a senior media strategist at The Business Development Group, Inc. and a freelance reporter for the New York Daily News. At the Daily News, she has been a reporter for more than 10 years covering news, features, fashion, celebrity lifestyle, beauty, gossip, television, pets and the Russian beat for the borough of Queens. Some of the high-profile stories she has covered include 9/11; Queens Joy: Mom’s Alive; Mystery in Gem Slay Victim Gets Call for Help; Doomed Flight 587; The Missing Millionaires Irene Silverman; Egyptian Flight 900 and the Clinton/Lewinsky Scandal. She has also worked on a number of special series for the paper including an investigation into the egg donor market, “The Egg Donor Market is Booming.” Some of her media appearances include include Today in New York; Weekend in Today; The Sally Jessy Raphael Show and WOR Radio. Her work has been featured in a number of local and national print publications including Marie Claire, Self, Bridal Guide, Parents and Children, Parent Guide, Healthwise, New York Real Estate Journal and Animal Fair magazine.

Prior to joining the editorial staff as a reporter/staff writer, Ruth worked in the internal communications/public relations department at the New York Daily News. Some of her duties included promoting special sections of the newspaper, lining up media interviews for reporters and coordinating events. She has also worked at Geltzer & Company, one of the leading public relation agencies in Manhattan that specializes in consumer electronics. Some of the accounts she has worked on include Motorola, Black & Decker and Samsung Electronics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology/SUNY Oneonta and Masters in Journalism from New York University.
