The Business Development Group Hires Director of Public Relations

Garden City, NY, January, 2008— The Business Development Group, Inc., a marketing, public relations and business development firm with offices in Garden City, has announced that Jana Raphael has recently joined the Business Development Group as a Director of Public Relations. 

Prior to joining the Business Development Group, Jana worked at Sergio Rossi, Gucci Group for nearly five years in the Communications Department as the US Public Relations Manager in charge of all fashion and accessories.  In her role at Sergio Rossi, Jana also worked on building the brand to its fullest capacity and maintaining a universal corporate image for the division.  Along with all editorial press, Ms. Raphael was in charge of events, print media, store openings and celebrity dressings.  Prior to Gucci Group, Jana worked at Escada and ShopPR in various public relations positions.

At the Business Development Group Inc., Jana is responsible for working closely with clients and media outlets to ensure proper and consistent press coverage. She is also responsible for many aspects of account management including media relations.
